Head coach and campus high school teacher, Robert Foshee, is proud for what girls tennis has achieved and overcome this season.

“It was a great team accomplishment,” Foshee said. “Each individual played their part and gave their all to clinch an undefeated league championship.”

Anna Le is the lone senior on the team. Le was congratulated for her hard work and dedication she’s demonstrated this season on Senior Night, May 6.

“I did not think that we would have a season, all we heard was practice only,” Le said. “When the second semester started, we heard from our coaches that we would have a real season! I was so happy about it, I’ve been on the team for 4 years and I was looking forward to this senior year. Every year I try to improve my technique and how I play and I’m getting better and better and my relationship with my teammate becomes closer and closer.”

Le expresses her love for tennis and her teammates and how it influences her personally throughout her time at Fresno Christian.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to get to come to practice everyday,” Le continued. “Especially this year, I don’t have a lot of pressure when I come to practice at all.  I feel happy and ready to learn new things. We talk, we laugh, we share, we encourage each other both on and off the court, we play and we improve together.”

Assistant coach, Daniel Jessing, expresses his passion for the team.

“I’m proud of absolutely everything this team accomplishes!” Jessing said, “We don’t have the same group of kids we thought we’d have, which has forced some younger players into big time important roles and they’ve aced that test big time. Couldn’t be prouder!”
