Dear Editor:

I believe that students passionate about something need to pursue their dreams. Taylor Torrence’s April 25 article, “Motocross Rider Crosses Checkered Flag,” showed how a junior has been working towards reaching his goal.

Before reading the article, I knew of several students who worked toward athletic goals in sports such as football, track, and basketball. Dustin Enochs gives a refreshing twist on such stories.

The article aptly displayed Enochs’ enormous amount of commitment. Even though he suffered through several injuries, he endured the pain and soon got back on his bike. I enjoyed reading about his immense perserverance in this unique sport.

Enochs’ several vicotories in races and championships exhibited how his hard work definitely paid off! I hope to see results of Enochs’ future races added to this article as he participates in numerous other competitions.
