James 4:13-14
“Come now, you who say, ‘Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and
trade and make a profit’ – 14 yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time then vanishes.”
Sometimes we plan our lives according to what we want next. Idolizing a job or title, a future family, or even a social status, can
take over our lives. While planning ahead and having goals is not a bad or unhealthy habit, it can be challenging to follow this pattern and follow the Lord’s will for your life. Is there a way to find a healthy balance to achieve these goals and be sensitive to God’s will?
