The elementary hallways are filled with kindergarteners dressed as old people in an effort to celebrate the significant academic milestone of 100 days of school, Jan. 26.
To make this day memorable, teachers asked all kindergarteners to dress up as elderly people while the rest of the elementary was able to participate in fun games and crafts parents and staff had planned out for them. Celebrating 100 days of school is not only a unique day for students to have fun but it is also a day to recognize and appreciate the education FCS staff and teachers offer.
Elementary office manager Lisa Dooley has worked at the school for 20 years and has had the opportunity to watch kids grow tremendously during their time at the school. This day is one of her favorites.
“I love the kids dressing up, they are hysterical,” Dooley said. “Kids’ excitement for the day creates a lot of positive energy throughout the building.”
New students are given unique opportunities during their enrollment at Fresno Christian. Harper Duke has gone to the school for 2 years and enjoys the memories she gets to make.
“My favorite part about today is being able to make memories with my friends,” Duke said. “I love being able to dress up and play games.”
