SISTER TO SISTER PROGRAM
The Sister to Sister program signups are underway. This program pairs junior high girls with a high school girl to be their friend and role model in an effort to facilitate the transition from elementary to junior high. As such, “big sisters” are not primarily intended to provide counseling or give unwarranted advice.
Junior high girls interested in the program must complete and submit a form with parental permission. Forms are available in the JH office and must be returned by Oct. 24. For more information on Sister to Sister, contact Molly Sargent at 299-1695 ext. 126.
GOLF MEETING
Students interested in playing golf must attend an informational meeting, Oct. 8, during lunch in Room 604.
PSAT
The PSAT will be administered on October 15 from 8-11:30 a.m. Students may sign up in the high school office with a $13 test payment.
PARKING PASSES
All vehicles parked by bldg. 6 and along FC gym must display FCHS parking permits. Beginning Monday, Sept. 22, any vehicles parked in these areas without a parking permit will be cited. A parking permit may be purchased from Mrs. Sargent for $10 per semester.
FC HOMECOMING 2008
The homecoming theme for 2008 is “The Rhythm Is Gonna Get You.” The senior class’ color is black and their music genre is techno; the junior class’ color is hot pink and their genre is ’90s pop; the sophomore class’ color is purple and their genre is old-school rap; and the freshman class’ color is blue and their genre is bluegrass.
ENTERTAINMENT BOOKS
Entertainment Books are one of the best fundraisers for your students and for the school. The cost is $25 and students can save up to 50% on restaurants, movies and activities.
After the sale of the first book, junior and senior high students can designate $7 per book sold to fund their school activities, such as sports, drama, band, choir and CSF.
For those who send 5 to 10 e-mails to their friends about the entertainment books, students can win a game download or a chance to win a Nintendo Wii.
