    GIRLS’ TENNIS AWARDS LUNCHEON
    The girls’ tennis awards luncheon will be held today at lunch in the J.J. Room. Parents are invited. Contact George Freeman for more information.

    SOPHOMORE SWEATSHIRTS
    Sophomore sweatshirts are on sale. Check out the design posted on the high school office window. The cost is $50 and comes in adult sizes small through XXLarge. If you have any questions or to purchase one, see Kelsey Hart.

    POWDER PUFF
    Powder Puff sign ups are due this Friday. Boys wanting to be coaches, talk to leadership students ASAP. The Powder Puff games will be next Friday, Nov. 21, from 12:30 – 3 p.m.

    FIFTH QUARTER
    After the football game, the FC student leadership will sponsor a 5th quarter at Luna’s Pizzeria in Old Town Clovis. For $8, you can eat pizza, pasta, salad, bread and soda.

    WINTER GUARD AUDITIONS
    The 2009 Winter Guard season is starting and FC is looking for new faces. Any student interested in learning dance, rifle, sabre and flag, sign up in front of the high school office or with Mr. Loomis. Auditions will be Sat., Nov. 22 in the Peoples Church gym from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

    No experience is required. Lunch will be provided. Sign-ups run through Wed., Nov. 19, so don’t delay. For more information, contact Sarah Barnett or Coach Lacey at 433-5223.

    OPERA TRIP
    Tom McEntee and Molly Sargent will be sponsoring a trip to see The Phantom Of The Opera at The Orpheum in San Francisco, Dec. 5. They will leave school at 2:30 p.m. (during 8th period) and return at approximately 1:30 a.m.

    Students interested must pay a $100 fee to cover the ticket (balcony center) and the charter bus. A non-refundable payment of $50 is due by Oct. 31. The balance will be due in mid November. Students will need to bring additional money for dinner on the way; $20 is suggested, although extra money for programs and other souvenirs may be desired.     TUTORS NEEDED
    The Learning Resource Center is looking for a tutor to assist Algebra II students. There is also a need for tutoring elementary students after school. Please contact LRC director Lori Grossman in the LRC office to apply for the positions. The position pays $10 an hour.

    SPANISH CLUB OFFICER ELECTION RESULTS
    Spanish club members voted for club officers at the Oct. 24 meeting and elected Andrew Rurik for president, Abby Schoettler for vice president, Sydney Ray for secretary, Brian Weskamp for public relations and Scott Thao for treasurer.

    LMC OVERDUE MATERIALS
    The following students have overdue library materials. See Mrs. Brown TODAY to make arrangements: Eric Johnson 1, Tyler Duerr 1, Sydney Ray 2, Connor Gibes 1, Kelsey Hart 1, Daniel Wendel 1 and Terrance Shepherd 1.

    CSF TUTORING PROGRAM
    CSF members will host a table for students to sign-up for the CSF tutoring program on Monday during lunch in the GZ courtyard. This program is a free service for students who need assistance with specific subjects on a temporary basis. For more information, contact CSF tutoring program director Natalie McCallum or CSF adviser Molly Sargent.

    HS BOYS’ BIBLE STUDY
    Every Friday at lunch there is a Bible study for high schools boys in Room 623. Coach Sorenson will be there to lead the discussion. For more information, contact Sorenson.

    CSF OFFICER ELECTION RESULTS
    The California Scholarship Federation (CSF) voted for club officers at their Oct. 7 meeting, electing Natalie McCallum for tutor program director, Andrew Rurik for treasurer, Austin Ward for historian, Suzanna Quiring for vice president and Chelsea Joy for president after a run-off with Elizabeth Grossman.

    USE OF COPIER IN THE OFFICES
    A reminder to the students: the copier machines in the offices are not for student use. If students wish to make copies, they are 10 cents each.
