PACEMAKER AWARD
The Feather recently won the Pacemaker award at the National Scholastic Press Association in Seattle, WA. The Pacemaker is the highest honor given and is judged holistically based on content, design, writing and editing, rich media and breaking news,” according to the NSPA website.
CSF TUTORING
Every Wed. at 3:05 p.m., the California Scholarship Federation club will be providing tutoring in Room 621. Help will be offered for free in all school subjects and all students are welcome to come.
SADIES TICKETS
Girls may now purchases their Sadies tickets for $40. These tickets can be purchased in the Ground Zero quad during lunch time. The schedule for Sadies is as follows:
April 21:
4:30-5:30 p.m.: Professional pictures by Mullins Photography in FC Gym.
5:30-6:00 p.m.: Load buses and drive to Blackbeards.
6:00-9:00 p.m.: Blackbeards fun!
9:00-9:30 p.m.: Load buses and drive to Sierra Lanes Bowling Alley on Blackstone.
9:30-11:30 p.m.: Bowling fun!
11:30 p.m.: Load buses and head back to Fresno Christian
SPORTS BANQUET
The Winter Sports Awards banquet will be held on April 22 at 5:30 p.m. in Ground Zero Main. The athletes awarded are from boys and girls soccer and girls and boys basketball.
ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIPS
If any seniors are receiving athletic scholarships from colleges, the student body would like to know. These scholarships are important and a sign of success so the athletic department would like to share it with the community. The accomplishments will be shared with The Feather and the Fresno Bee. If a student is interested, please contact the high school office.
CSF COMMUNITY SERVICE
All California Scholarship Federation members are recommended to come out and help at the Fresno Rescue Mission for the Rescue the Children project. The club will meet there at 8 a.m. and be done by 1 p.m. which means that all CSF service hours can be completed here. Work will include painting, cleaning and yardwork so students should come dressed in work clothes and shoes. The location is 2141 N. Parkway Dr., near the Tower District. SPORTS PHYSICALS
Sports physicals will be May 8 from 6-7 p.m. in Rooms 602 and 604. The cost is $25.00 for a physical. Checks may be payable to Dr. Gonzalez. All students who plan on playing a sport for the next school year are recommended to get their physical here.
DETENTION WARNING
Michelle Warkentin will now be monitoring all tardies and holding detention on Mondays for the students who qualify.
