FPU CONCERT FEATURES AARON BRYAN
The Pacific Artist Series concert “Brahms and Friends,” Fresno Pacific University’s premier concert series, will feature campus choral director Aaron Bryan singing tenor in a quartet performance of Johannes Brahms’ “Liebeslider Walzer, Opus 52” (Lovesong Waltzes in English). The concert will be held at the McDonald Hall Atrium on Saturday, Feb. 21.
The group also includes FC alumna Krista Moore singing mezzo soprano. Each member of the quartet will sing a solo in the first half of the program with a few Brahms piano duets later in the show.
Tickets cost $10 for general admission and $7 for students and seniors.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
The administration needs volunteers from the junior high and high school to help pass out auction brochures at Peoples Church on Sunday, Feb. 22. Volunteers will distribute the brochures for 30 minutes for the 8, 9:45 and 11:30 a.m. services. Please sign up in the high school office for one of the three services.

Congratulations to boys’ basketball coach Chris Schultz and track and field coach Ericlee Gilmore for their new babies!
Schult’s wife Jen gave birth on Valentine’s Day to Samantha Quinn Schultz, weighing 7 lbs. and 7 oz. and 20 inches long. A picture of Sammie is posted on the high school office window.
Gilmore’s wife Dorina gave birth to Giada Esther Gilmore on Feb. 16, weighing 7 lbs. and 5 oz. and 21 inches long. Giada means “Jade” in Italian.
SADIE HAWKINS
Student leadership is planning a Western-themed Sadie Hawkins for Saturday, March 7. Tickets cost $35 and will go on sale on Feb. 18 through March 4. For more information, contact student leadership.
EDUCATIONAL TOUR TO IRELAND
Those interested in exploring a European educational trip to Ireland in mid June are encouraged to contact Greg Stobbe, English and award-winning journalism teacher at FCHS.
Stobbe has taken nearly 300 people to Europe over the last 14 years on 12 different trips and is planning a 14-16 day Ireland trip that may be taken for high school or university credit. NOTS DVDS
The Night of the Stars DVDs will go on sale in the high school office around Feb. 11. The DVD will cost $10 and include the freshman, junior and senior movies.
CELL PHONE POLICY REMINDER
Cell phones are not to be seen in any of the buildings on campus between the hours of 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., regardless of any reason. They will be taken away and kept by an administrator until after 3 p.m. However, students may use cell phones outside the building or in the high school office, with permission, during school hours.
CSF TUTORING PROGRAM
CSF members will host a table for students to sign-up for the CSF tutoring program on Monday during lunch in the GZ courtyard. This program is a free service for students who need assistance with specific subjects on a temporary basis. For more information, contact CSF tutoring program director Natalie McCallum or CSF adviser Molly Sargent.
HS BOYS’ BIBLE STUDY
Every Friday at lunch there is a Bible study for high schools boys in Room 623. Coach Sorenson will be there to lead the discussion. For more information, contact Sorenson.
