WORSHIP TEAM/ENSEMBLE AUDITIONS
If a student has a love of worship, an enthusiasm for music and a passion for Christ, they are invited to audition for a spot on next years worship team. The FCS worship team prepares and leads all chapel worship times. They also are involved in serving the local community with their musical gifts. Members of the worship team meet daily to rehearse, prepare, and study. Class members receive Bible credit for their participation. For Ensemble, the credit can go towards an elective or fine art credit.
We are looking to fill a variety of positions on the team, including: vocalists, bassist, guitarist (both acoustic and electric) and keyboardist. The audition process is simple and requires:
* Request a character reference from a Fresno Christian teacher, forms are available from Mr. Martens or the office
* Complete an application form
* Sing and/or play a prepared worship song of your choice
* Participate in a brief interview with the audition panel
* Interview with a current student team member
Auditions will be held during the week of May 14-18. Audition sign up sheets will be posted in the music suite beginning next week.
FALL SPORT SIGNUPS
Signups for fall sports in high school volleyball, football, cross country and track and junior high volleyball and cross country will be outside the athletic office. Football workouts for 8th-11th grade will begin May 15 and be held every Tues.-Fri. from 3:15-5:30 p.m.
ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIPS
If any seniors are receiving athletic scholarships from colleges, the student body would like to know. These scholarships are important and a sign of success so the athletic department would like to share it with the community. The accomplishments will be shared with The Feather and the Fresno Bee. If a student is interested, please contact the high school office.
