FALL CHORAL CONCERT, OCT. 18
The campus Choral Department is hosting a Fall Concert at Riverpark Bible Church at 7-8 p.m., Oct. 18. The choir consists of 80 students who will participate in the evening’s event. This is the first concert of the year.
GRANDPARENTS DAY
Grandparents Day is Friday, Oct. 19; Grandparents will start arriving at 9:30 a.m. and receive directions, and will meet up with their grandchildren starting at third period. At 11:40 a.m., grandparents and their grandkids will go to the PC gym for lunch, which will last through 12:25 p.m., when the grandparents leave there after.
BEACH TRIP
The Beach trip
to Watsonville High School is Friday, Oct. 19 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. the next day. Students will board charter buses and leave campus for Sunset Beach. Students should bring extra money for lunch, and students are expected to stay within dress code. FCS Attendees of the football game must stay on the field.
BABY DRIVE
Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Harris for the safe arrival of their son Nathaniel Kai on Oct. 10; we are also praying for the safe arrival of the Fenton twin girls in another few weeks. The FCS community would like to help support our teachers by having a baby drive. Bring your donations to the HS office between Oct. 15-19.

–Cash Donations (Fentons are saving for a minivan)
MAKE A DIFFERENCE
HS leadership is presenting ‘make a difference Monday’, they will be handing out a glow in the dark bracelet to a student they feel has ‘made a difference’ the previous week.
FIVE-MINUTE MILE CLUB
P.E. teacher Michael Ogden is hosting a challenge to high school students. Run a mile under 6 minutes and join an elite group of athletes. Congrats to the first three members of the 5-minute mile club (5:59 or less). If you see the following three freshman students, congratulate these on their accomplishments.

CIVIL WAR REENACTMENT
The Civil War Reenactment is going to be held at Kearney Park at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 27 and at 10 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 28. Extra credit for attending this event is available for students of Jordana Siebert. Talk to her in Rm. 602 for more information.
TESTING DATES AND INFORMATION.
The next SAT test will be administered Nov. 4; the registration deadline was Oct. 3.
The PLAN test will be given on campus in mid-November, more details to be announced. The next ACTACT test is Dec. 8; the registration deadline is Nov. 2 and costs $14.00.
HOMECOMING GAME
Homecoming is Friday, Oct. 26 at 7:30 p.m. against Immanuel High School. Volunteers are also needed for the stands and booths, contact Michelle Regnerus if interested. Come out to support your team!
THE FEATHER NEEDS CAMPUS MEDIA
The Feather needs videographers, photographers, and other media talents. Talk to Greg Stobbe, journalism adviser, if interested.
MUSIC DEPARTMENT NEEDS TALENT
Junior and Senior High School students are strongly encouraged to join choir, band, percussion, and colorguard. Musical adviser Michael Ogdon needs a pianist for jazz band also; see him in the Music Suite. Principal Todd Bennett and Academic adviser Michelle Warkentin can make schedule changes that can enable you to participate.
FALL SPORT SIGNUPS
Signups for fall sports in high school volleyball, football, cross country and track and junior high volleyball and cross country will be outside the athletic office. Football workouts for 8th-11th grade will begin May 15 and be held every Tues.-Fri. from 3:15-5:30 p.m.
