Dear editor:

Hi, I’m Alisha Steitz Hamblen, FCHS Class of 1992. I am a full-time missionary to the Republic of Ireland. My husband, Mark, and I are currently planting a new church in Athy, County Kildare.

After working in the television and advertising industry in Fresno, it’s been a blessing to plant churches with my husband, first in Coronado, California, and now in Ireland. We keep a blog and photos of our mission on www.IrelandMission.com.

My favorite memories of Fresno Christian High are of the pep rallies on game day; those were a real treat! And chapel day was a great time of worship.

I’m encouraged to see that The Feather is still going strong, winning awards and doing a great job. My year and a half on the newspaper staff was a great learning experience.
