    HOMECOMING GAME
    Homecoming is Friday, Oct. 26 at 7:30 p.m. against Immanuel High School (Reedley). Volunteers are also needed for the stands and booths, contact Michelle Regnerus if interested. Come out to support your team!

    FCS ON CHANNEL 30
    This Friday morning, Oct. 26, ABC Channel 30’s Action News AM Live program will be broadcasting from the Fresno Christian Peoples Church Campus. The news crew will be highlighting some of our athletic and performing arts programs and interviewing our students and coaches.
    We invite you to join in the festivities and show your support for our school. It is important that we have as many people as possible, students, parents and staff, at this event, showing the city of Fresno that We are One, Standing Firm, as partners in the mission of Fresno Christian Schools.
    Please arrive by 5:30 a.m. in your maroon, white and black FC gear, ready to cheer and shout and enjoy fellowship with the rest of the FC family at this fun event. The broadcast runs from 5:57 to 7:00 a.m. Students will not need to miss any class. There will be muffins and juice for sale in the lobby of the gym.
    We look forward to seeing you there.

    CIVIL WAR REENACTMENT
    The Civil War Reenactment is going to be held at Kearney Park at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 27 and at 10 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 28. Extra credit for attending this event is available for students of Jordana Siebert. Talk to her in Rm. 602 for more information.

    SPANISH CLUB MEETING
    Next Spanish Club meeting will be this coming Monday, Oct. 29, due to homecoming day this Friday. Come prepared to hear a short speech from our officers and to have fun.

    BABY DRIVE
    Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Harris for the safe arrival of their son Nathaniel Kai on Oct. 10; we are also praying for the safe arrival of the Fenton twin girls in another few weeks. The FCS community would like to help support our teachers by having a baby drive. Bring your donations to the HS office this week.

    GOOD COMPANY PLAYERS PRESENTS SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN
    Good Company Players present “Singin’ in the Rain,” on stage at Roger Rocka’s Dinner Theater from now through Nov. 11. Hollywood goes topsy turvy in the early days of “talkies.” This musical treasure is a perfect storm of singing, dancing, laughing, romancing and a twenty percent chance of precipitation!     TESTING DATES AND INFORMATION.
    The next SAT test will be administered Nov. 4; the registration deadline was Oct. 3.

    The PLAN test will be given on campus in mid-November, more details to be announced. The next ACT test is Dec. 8; the registration deadline is Nov. 2 and costs $14.00.

    MAKE A DIFFERENCE
    HS leadership is presenting ‘make a difference Monday’, they will be handing out a glow in the dark bracelet to a student they feel has ‘made a difference’ the previous week.

    CSF TUTORING
    Anyone in need of tutoring for any subject can come and be tutored for free, or if you are looking to get some community service hours you can also sign up to be a tutor. Tutoring will be held in Molly Sargents’s room, 621, Wednesday’s 3:00-4:00 by members of CSF.

    FIVE-MINUTE MILE CLUB
    P.E. teacher Michael Ogden is hosting a challenge to high school students. Run a mile under 6 minutes and join an elite group of athletes. Congrats to the first three members of the 5-minute mile club (5:59 or less). If you see the following three freshman students, congratulate these on their accomplishments.

    THE FEATHER NEEDS CAMPUS MEDIA
    The Feather needs videographers, photographers, and other media talents. Talk to Greg Stobbe, journalism adviser, if interested.

    MUSIC DEPARTMENT NEEDS TALENT
    Junior and Senior High School students are strongly encouraged to join choir, band, percussion, and colorguard. Musical adviser Michael Ogdon needs a pianist for jazz band also; see him in the Music Suite. Principal Todd Bennett and Academic adviser Michelle Warkentin can make schedule changes that can enable you to participate.

    FALL SPORT SIGNUPS
    Signups for fall sports in high school volleyball, football, cross country and track and junior high volleyball and cross country will be outside the athletic office. Football workouts for 8th-11th grade will begin May 15 and be held every Tues.-Fri. from 3:15-5:30 p.m.
