CSF VIDEO CHAT WITH UCLA ADMISSIONS DIRECTOR
CSF has arranged a video chat with the UCLA Admissions Director on Thursday, Nov. 1, at 3:00 pm. This event will be a Question & Answer session with Susan Wilbur, the Executive Director of Admissions at UCLA and the former Executive Director of Admissions for the entire UC System. All students and parents who wish to be part of our group participation just need to show up in Rm. 621 immediately after school concludes on Thursday. The chat will last about an hour but you may feel free to leave early if you like. This is an incredible opportunity to learn more not only about the UC admissions process but the college admissions process in general. We encourage all students regardless of grade level and regardless of whether they are in CSF or not to take advantage of this first-ever event.
CSF is accepting student & parent questions through their Facebook page (facebook.com/csfcjsf), or on Twitter by appending the #csfucla12 hashtag.
At the conclusion of the event, CSF will send the names of all students who submitted the featured questions to the UCLA admissions office, which will be a great way for interested students to earn name recognition with UCLA as applications can be submitted starting that very day.
All students will be able to tune into the live broadcast. CSF will be awarding a pizza dinner to the chapter that has the most people who join the Facebook page, so please go there for more information about this. Information on accessing the event is on the CSF Facebook page.
CSF has begun an innovative technology program to interact with college admissions directors, college financing professionals, and business leaders who will answer your questions with the goal of aiding your success in your educational and career goals. This first live, internet video chat with Ms. Wilbur is the beginning of our efforts.

    OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
Please consider taking the opportunity to show your child the true spirit of giving at Christmas through Operation Christmas Child. Pack a shoe box with your child to send to needy children throughout the world. The children have lists of the suggested items, many of which can be purchased at a dollar store or at reasonable prices. Please be sure to put in only brand new items and include small toys (with no weapons), school supplies, and hygiene items. Most important is to pray over the box and for the child who will receive it. For more suggestions or to download a new form to go with the box, go to this website here. Also, include $7 in an envelope for shipping and handling. Shoeboxes are due Nov. 8.
