Fresno Christian’s cross country runs at this years 43rd annual Woodbridge Invitational in Irvine, Ca, Sept. 20.
Woodbridge is the largest cross-country meet in the nation consisting of teams from 17 states. The flat and fast race was held at the Great Park Sports Complex, where lights illuminated a 3-mile coures. The races spanned over two days, with the top individuals and teams competing on Saturday night. Amongst the 52 races, nearly 13,000 athletes crossed the finish line.
The FC team competed on Friday night in the White Varsity A race. Most small schools race on Friday which offers a variety of race levels. There are races for each grade, novice runners, and different varsity teams.
Overall, this was the team’s best performance at Woodbridge with 7 athletes receiving medals.
