Over twenty-five Fresno Christian seniors head to Grand Canyon University (GCU) for the discovery trip, Nov. 3-5.
During those few days, students tour the campus, sit in classes for their majors, attend a chapel and watch a men’s basketball game. GCU offers their free discovery trip to high school seniors interested in the lifestyle on campus.
GCU, a private Christian college in Phoenix, Arizona, was founded in 1949. The institution was first founded as a Baptist-affiliated college with a focus on religious studies, and it first provided bachelor’s degree programs in education.
GCU welcomes its largest enrollment of approximately 125,000 students for the 2024-25 school year. Over 25,000 students attend on campus and about 100,000 study online.
Senior Angel Bunker reflects on her GCU discovery trip.
“The school was a lot different than people had described it,” Bunker said. “Going there made me realize how great of a school it was and it striked a desire in me to keep it as a potential option”
