    Book Buddies will begin Thursday, Oct. 7. Buddies will be dismissed at 12 noon. Remember to bring your lunch and meet Mrs. Warkentin in the GZ Quad. Please turn in permission forms and volunteer applications to the office by Tuesday, Oct. 5.

    Anyone interested in learning about how to become part of the girls’ basketball team should come to a brief meeting at lunch on Friday, Oct. 8, in Room 626. Free pizza will be provided.

    Seniors who are “truly motivated, dedicated and involved” should consider applying for one of the 250 scholarships Coca-Cola will award this year. To apply for the scholarship, go online to The application deadline is Oct. 31. Coke is awarding $3 million in scholarship money; don’t miss out!

    Music department students are selling muffins, croissants and vitamin water every morning for $1 each. They are sold outside Building 6 from 7:15 to 7:50 a.m. The proceeds benefit instrumental and choral groups.

    Parking passes for the high school lot are now available. In order to obtain yours, first get the parking pass form from Mrs. Sargent. Fill it out, then take it to Mrs. Regnerus in the high school office with the $10 semester fee and your California driver’s license.

    You will not be issued a pass if you do not show your license when turning in the form and money. Students with parking passes may park in the main Alluvial lot and in the slots adjacent to the gym. Starting Aug. 30, vehicles that do not have a parking pass will be cited and possibly towed.
