Fresno Christian Cross Country competes in the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) State Cross Country Championships, Nov. 30.
Blake Bay, ‘27, finishes 6th overall in Division 5 with a time of 15:12. He broke the Sophomore Central Section Course time which was 10 years old. Jeremiah Valorosi, ‘27, also ran as an individual and finished with a time of 17:22.
All six girls qualified for the state championships as a team and finished with their fastest team time of the season for the Woodward Park 5K course. This year’s team consisted of two freshmen, two sophomores, one junior and one senior.
Freshman Madison Siebert has achieved many big personal records in this season, including running 22:03 at the state championships. She loves running and celebrated making it to state as a freshman.
“Going to the state meet as a freshman was so exciting and scary at the same time,” said Siebert. “I was so excited to get to run again before the season ended.”

That’s a wrap on the CIF cross-country season. Some athletes will continue in invitational meets like The Footlocker West Regional meet in Los Angeles on Dec. 7 and the Buchanan Winter Mile on Dec. 10.
