    Announcement: 2010-12-03

    SCHEDULE FOR DEC. 3, 2010

    FRIDAY
    Lunch ? GZ Quad ? 12:35 p.m.
    Walk Christmas Tree Lane ? 6-10 p.m.

    SYMPATHY TO THE ROSETH FAMILY
Our sympathy is expressed to Jeffrey Roseth and his mother, Betty, on the passing of Jeffrey’s father and Betty’s husband, Steve. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 7, at 11 a.m. in the G. L. Johnson Chapel. Students who would like to attend the service will be excused from class to walk as a group to the chapel. Please keep Jeffrey and Mrs. Roseth in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

    BADMINTON INTRAMURALS
Intramural Badminton games will be held on Dec. 7, 8 and 10. Teams of three can compete in the techno rave-themed competition. For more information, contact a student leadership member.

    FACULTY/STAFF CHRISTMAS BASKETS
Every year at this time, the parent groups for junior high and high school collect, assemble and deliver Christmas baskets/buckets for delivery to all the teachers and staff. All the items are donated by parents. The groups are collecting a quantity of 10 of any item (e.g., gift cards, baked items individually wrapped, nuts, holiday ornaments) and ask that they be delivered to the high school office by Dec. 15.

The packages will be assembled and delivered on the morning of Dec. 16 in the J.J. Room. Any parents are welcome to join the process at 8 a.m. For more information, contact Lori Mascarenas at 559.260.3135 or by e-mail.

    DRAMA PRODUCTION
Celebrate the start of the season by joining the Fresno Christian High School Drama Department on Scrooge’s journey to redemption in Charles Dickens’s timeless classic, A Christmas Carol. Performance dates are Monday, Nov. 29, and Saturday, Dec. 11, at 7 p.m. in Ground Zero Main. Admission is $3 for FC staff and students, $5 for general admission, $4 for seniors and non-FC students with ID, and no charge for children under 5.

For more information, read the Nov. 22 article, Drama to present ‘A Christmas Carol.’

    CHOIR CHRISTMAS CONCERT
Transport yourself to a simpler time: Relax around festively decorated tables with family and friends, enjoy Christmas cookies and cider, sing along with instruments and choirs. The high school vocal and instrumental music ensembles, under the direction of Michael Ogdon, will present the “Round the Tables Carol Sing” concert at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 15, in the FC Gym. Admission for this Christmas event is free, but tickets for preferred seating will be available.

    NOTICE: SCOOTERS NOT ALLOWED
Scooters are not allowed on the Peoples Church campus or inside any buildings. The only places where scooters are allowed to be ridden are the parking lots. Violation of this rule will result in scooters being confiscated. Scooters will only be returned to parents.

    MUSIC DEPARTMENT SELLS MUFFINS
Music department students are selling muffins, croissants and vitamin water every morning for $1 each. They are sold outside Building 6 from 7:15 to 7:50 a.m. The proceeds benefit instrumental and choral groups.

    PARKING PASSES
Parking passes for the high school lot are now available. In order to obtain yours, first get the parking pass form from Mrs. Sargent. Fill it out, then take it to Mrs. Regnerus in the high school office with the $10 semester fee and your California driver’s license.

You will not be issued a pass if you do not show your license when turning in the form and money. Students with parking passes may park in the main Alluvial lot and in the slots adjacent to the gym. Starting Aug. 30, vehicles that do not have a parking pass will be cited and possibly towed.
