ART
Congratulations to Sally Rudolfs, Amber Wilson, and Cayla Rivas for winning first place in the High School Chalk Drawing Contest at the Fresno Fair! This is the first time Fresno Christian has won since the contest began about fourteen years ago.
SPORTS
The new JH sports season is starting soon. Signups for boys basketball, boys soccer and girls soccer are being taken in the athletic office until this Friday, Oct. 10. Practices will begin the week of Oct. 13.
We are still accepting applications for individuals to coach the junior high teams. If you know of anyone looking for a coaching position, please have them contact Mick Fuller, Jon Penberthy or Michelle Morse or call the FC athletic office at 299-1695 ext 123.
Winter sports for high school are beginning pre-season workouts. HS girls soccer will have conditioning workouts 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) starting on Oct. 21. Other teams’ workout times will be published when that information is available.
BOOK BUDDIES

SAT AND ACT SCHEDULE
The next SAT test will be on Oct. 11. The next ACT test will be Oct. 25. Registration ends Sept. 19, with a late fee for Sept. 20-Oct. 3. Students may sign up for the test here. If students are looking for a test prep option, please contact Michelle Warkentin in the academic office or at [email protected] for more information.
PSAT
The PSAT will be offered at Fresno Christian on Oct. 15. The PSAT is mandatory for all juniors (pre-paid in tuition). The test is also recommended for all sophomores.
HOMECOMING
Homecoming week is Oct. 27-31. Each high school class will build a float that goes along with their theme. Places to build and store the floats are needed. If you can help, please tell your child or one of the leadership instructors. Leadership teachers are Rob Foshee and Vickey Belmont.
SPORTS MEMBERSHIP PASSES
The athletic deptartment will be selling FCS sports membership passes starting Sept. 2. Click here for more information. Individual passes: $125. Family passes (admits up to 4 people): $275. The passes are valid for FCS home football, basketball and volleyball games, excluding CIF foundation games and playoffs. SPORT EVENTS DRESSCODE
All school students must be in dress code at all school sports events, both on campus and at away games. Students who are out of dress code will be asked to change clothes and may be required to leave the event if they are unable to comply.
PHOTOJOURNALISM

LUNCH MENU
Lunches may now be selected online. Go to the Fresno Christian website, select Campus News, and scroll down until the lunch menu is visible. Under the menu the option “Submit your lunch request” will appear. You may then select what you want for lunch!

Stuff Mart, the student store, is open every day during the 10 minute break. It is located at the south end of the top floor in building six. Snacks and some school supplies are available for a nominal cost. Check it out today!
