Seven soccer senior girls (left to right), Abigail Herren, Milly Morgan, Chloe Butler, Kennedy Wyatt, Chloe Johnson, Olivia Nyberg and Mallory Friesen are honored alongside family and friends to highlight their season, Jan. 31.
Fresno Christian Eagles defeat the Chowchilla Tribe with a final score of, 10-0.
Kennedy Wyatt shows up consistently on the field and has played for four years of high school and on the FC junior high team as well.
“Being on the team for all four years has allowed me to not only watch the team grow and develop, but myself as well,” Wyatt said. “I can look back on the growth I have had as a player and as a person, as well as the development of the program. It’s crazy how God works. I made my best friends, watched them leave, made new friends, watched them grow up.”
Each year the team faces new challenges that pushes them to work harder. Wyatt has experienced multiple injuries through the years, yet continues to persevere.
“We’ve been through trials and adversity, wins and loss’, injury and health. It’s some of the most challenging, yet fulfilling parts of my high school years,” Wyatt said. “I wouldn’t change it for the world.”
Come support girls soccer for their next home game, Feb. 7, vs. Minarets.
