FEATHER COMIC REACHES 300TH ISSUE
After drawing for nearly two school years, sophomore Katie Barisic published her 300th comic, March 29. The Good Times first posted on Sept. 14, 2009, after Barisic’s sister, Lauren, encouraged Katie to join the school newspaper. While Katie did not see herself as a staff reporter, she loved to illustrate and focused her attention on comics that highlighted teenage issues. The Good Times can be found on the right menu bar. For more information, read Andrew Evans’ Feb. 1, 2011, article, “Illustrator passes 250-comic mark.”
WINTER GUARD PERFORMANCE
Congratulations to the winter guard team for their 2nd place finish at last Friday’s A class color guard championships. This is their highest placement of the year finishing just half a point behind section winner Clovis East High School.
