WEEKLY CAMPUS ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR FEB. 23 – FEB. 27

SCHOLASTIC JOURNALISM WEEK
This week, Feb. 22-28, is Scholastic Journalism Week. The annual event, sponsored by Journalism Education Association (JEA), was created to raise awareness about civic responsibility and the First Amendment rights. This year’s logo is “Our Staff at Work.” Please use #SJW2015 and #FCJW in all of your Tweets and Instagram posts.

KIDS DAY, MARCH 3
Kids Day is coming up quickly! March 3, Leadership students and Feather staff members will be meeting to pass out newspapers. Leadership will meet at 4 a.m. and Publications at 5 a.m. Students will be split into two groups and sent to either Cedar and Alluvial or Maple and Alluvial. Reverse permission slips will be given to those who are cannot attend.

HS TRACK PARENT MEETING
There will be a HS track parent meeting on March 3 at 5:30 p.m. in the FC Music Suite.

NIGHT OF THE STARS, MARCH 28
This year Night Of The Stars will be held at Wolf Lakes on Saturday, March 28. Tickets will go on sale Feb. 23, early bird ticket sales will be from Feb. 23-27. Early Bird price is $55, regular price of tickets is $60.
Tickets may be purchased in the HS office or during lunch in the quad.

CREATIVE WRITING CLUB
If you enjoy writing, the Creative Writing club meets in room 603 every Monday during lunch. This club is available to JH and HS.

COLLEGE TRIP
The trip is scheduled for March 3-4 and we will be visiting USC, UC Riverside, Cal Baptist University, and Azusa Pacific University. This trip will be made available to CSF members in grades 10-12 in good academic standing at the time of the trip. Other 11th and 12th grade students with a 3.5 GPA or higher are qualified to go. The cost of the trip will be approximately $100 per student, but the money is not due at this point. Please do not sign up unless you are fairly certain you will be able to attend. More information will be announced soon.

SPORT EVENTS DRESSCODE
All school students must be in dress code at all school sports events, both on campus and at away games. Students who are out of dress code will be asked to change clothes and may be required to leave the event if they are unable to comply.

PHOTOJOURNALISM
If anyone is interested in photography and has a free 3rd period, please talk to Kori Friesen about joining Photojournalism. She can be contacted at [email protected].

LUNCH MENU
Lunches may now be selected online. Go to the Fresno Christian website, select Campus News, and scroll down until the lunch menu is visible. Under the menu the option “Submit your lunch request” will appear. You may then select what you want for lunch!

No bills over $20 are accepted.

STUFF MART
Stuff Mart, the student store, is open every day during the 10 minute break. It is located at the south end of the top floor in building six. Snacks and some school supplies are available for a nominal cost.
