Fresno Christian students head to the north field for the 9th annual bonfire rally, Oct. 20th.
The bonfire originally takes place during homecoming week, but due to homecoming being earlier in the year, as well as the weather being too hot to sit next to open fires, the event was pushed back a month.
The annual bonfire hosts a night of games, food, and a movie.
This is the first year a movie has been shown. Students watch from all angles as The Greatest Showman plays on an inflatable screen. People sing along with the songs while sitting around the fire with their friends. Colorado Grill set up a food truck that offered pre-paid burgers and fries to students and staff.
Attendees participate in a variety of games, including volleyball, spikeball, cornhole, and others. Students and staff play with a competitive edge and a determination to win, even though no one was keeping score.
Joseph Davila, ‘27, has participated in the annual bonfire rally since his freshman year. Davila shares his favorite moments of the event.
“The bonfire was fun with great food, fun games, and was a nice time to hang out with friends,” Davila says.
