Final buzzers sound. Shoes squeak across the floor. Fresno Christian athletes tie the bow on a championship-winning fall season. Teams reflect on months of hard work, steady progress and moments that defined their year.
Football

FC Football marks the close of the season with a triumphant victory, winning their fourth Valley Championship in the last five years and establishing a strong dynasty that has been built over the years. After coming up short in last year’s Valley Championship game against Mammoth High School, the Eagles hit the ground running with no end in sight, leading to a dominating 12-0 season and an undefeated overall record.
Dominic Ramirez, ‘28, has played tight end throughout the last two seasons, serving as a key role within the team’s offense.
“Our team is relentless and determined, and we came in every game thinking we were going to win and dominate,” Ramirez said. “I never had a thought this season that we weren’t going to pull it out at the end.”
The Eagles clinched the number one seed in the CIF Central Section 8-man Division, securing themselves a first-round bye and coasting through the next two rounds, landing them in the championship game, where they met Immanuel Christian. Ultimately, the Eagles won 73-14 and took home the CIF Central Section 8-man Division Valley Championship.
Girls Volleyball

All eyes were on FC Girls Volleyball as they were set to shoot for their fourth possible Valley Championship in a row after a once-in-a-lifetime three-peat. The girls surged early into the season, carrying momentum that would eventually lead them to a winning 25-19 overall record and a commanding 8-1 league record in the Northwest Sequoia League.
Coach Steve Guglielmana has coached the girls’ team for four years and built the program at Fresno Christian.
“I feel the team worked to consistently get better by focusing on small gains every day, and in doing so, they achieved a higher level of play.” Guglielmana said, “We are extremely proud of the resilience that all the young ladies who represent Fresno Christian in the sport of volleyball showed.”
Backed by a solid young core, the girls secured the fourth seed in CIF Central Section Division IV Playoffs. Overcoming many obstacles, the girls pushed their way to the Division IV semifinals, where they faced their biggest obstacle yet, the top-seeded Mammoth High School. Anticipation and adrenaline filled the air, but the girls came up short, losing 1-3 to Mammoth, ending their famed season.
Girls Tennis

The Girls’ Tennis team started the new season with fresh determination after earning an 18-4 record and coming off a CIF Division V Valley Championship. Riding a consistent lineup, the girls finished the year going 16-2 overall and 6-1 in league play.
Head Coach Robert Foshee has led the team to two Valley Championship titles throughout his tenure.
“We always had the same three goals,” Foshee said.“One is to work hard, to play for each other. And then two is to have fun, and then also play for God. “It takes everyone together to get to that victory. During practice and matches, to rely on each other, to look out for each other and to be good teammates.
Cruising their way into the playoffs, beating every opponent in sight, the girls had arrived at the DlV Valley Championship game. They fought with resilience but ended up short of the title, losing 2-7 against Sanger West. Despite the loss, the girls have much still to celebrate as freshman Kate Antonsen won the NWSC Singles League Championship, along with seniors K’lanna McArn and Delaney Meyers won the NWSC Doubles League Championship.
Cross Country

Fresno Christian Cross Country closed its 2025 campaign with its strongest postseason performances in school history, highlighted by a pair of Top 15 team finishes and multiple school records broken at the CIF State Championships at Woodward Park on Nov. 29.
The girls’ squad delivered the program’s strongest placement, snagging eighth in Division V and posting a team time of 1:38:53 with every single runner clocking personal records. Their spectacular performance was capped by sophomore Madison Seibert running an 18:42 time, which stands as the new school course record.
The boys’ side earned fifteenth overall in Division V, a dramatic leap after missing State qualification entirely in 2024. This highlight was a stellar performance by junior Blake Bay, who surged to a second-place individual finish, crossing in 14:55.6, one of the fastest times in the Division V meet. He qualified for a coveted spot in the Brooks XC Championships presented by Fleet Feet in San Diego on December 14.
Coach Shawn Young has built workouts for the team for the last four years.
“The Girls Team ran an incredible race to finish eighth in the state for Division 5 and finished as the sixth Central Section team,” Young said. “Our Boys team finished 15th overall, being the first time that we have ever qualified a full boys team, showing we can compete with nearly every school in our section.”
With a deep returning core and momentum from its strongest finish in years, Fresno Christian enters the offseason with confidence and a clear sense of the program continuing to grow.
As the fall season turns to winter, be sure to come out and support your fellow Eagles as winter sports mark their return.
