As the third annual Six Flags Magic Mountain trip approaches, students anticipate thrills, spills and throwing up on May 29.
“It’s a great opportunity for students to have fun,” Christopher Schultz, student activity director, said. “It’s a good chance for students to have fun with their friends at the end of the year.”
While the underclassmen are going to Magic Mountain, the seniors will be on their end of year trip to San Francisco. When Schultz was in high school, there was always a school-sponsored trip to Magic Mountain. For a time, the annual trip was stopped, so Schultz decided to start it again because he felt it was a good trip and really fun activity.
“It was a lot of fun to spend a day with my friends,” Michelle Nachtigall, ’04, said. “Hopefully it won’t be as hot this year but I am sure everyone will have fun.”
Many students go to Magic Mountain just to get away from school for a day.
“Magic Mountain is the best because you get away from school for a say at the end of the year,” C.J. Haydock, ’03, said. “I am really excited and can’t wait.”
The cost to attend Magic Mountain trip is $45, which includes a bus ride and admission to the park. Students who do not go need to come to school. Otherwise it will count as an absence.
