As I reflect on the first quarter of the school year, I am grateful. Fresno Christian is such a great place for students. I thank the Lord every day for my job, this school and the opportunities it offers to my children and all of the students.
I consider is a privilege to work with such an outstanding student body. The character of our students is inspiring. Last Friday during homecoming, many of the princess candidates cited the “family atmosphere” at our school. That is a perfect way to describe how I feel. Our students are caring and respectful of each other.
When God is present and people seek and embrace His guidance, great things happen. Our teachers pray for each student; they pray for guidance as they prepare their lessons, and they pray for wisdom to teach discipline and Christian character.
Our athletic teams display great sportsmanship. The Eagle coaches have taught our athletes how to compete and how to minister through sports. I am impressed with the behavior of our students during their games, especially after the dust has settled. Win or lose, our athletes represent the Lord, as they pray for their opponents and invite them to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.
Last week’s homecoming activities really put everything in perspective for me. The enthusiasm and school spirit were obvious, but more importantly, there was an atmosphere of fellowship. All of the competitions and activities were done in the spirit of fun and followed our year-long theme: “Going All Out” for the Lord.
I am proud to work at Fresno Christian, and I am happy to be a parent at Fresno Christian. This is truly a great place for kids!
