Re: Feather Online advertisement
Dear manager,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your business, Fresno Pacific University, for placing a $350 year-long ad in the FCHS student newspaper, The Feather Online, starting November 2009.
The Feather Online edition was named the best high school newspaper in the United States, regardless of size, by the National Scholastic Press Association in 2006 and 2008. The Feather Online was also nominated for the same award in 2007 and 2009. The Feather won the prestigious Pacemaker award which is the high school equivalent of a Pulitzer Prize. The paper has also qualified for the 2010 competition.
The Feather has also been awarded the San Joaquin Valley Scholastic Press Association?s All-Valley newspaper for 2005-2007. Judging the contest were representatives from the Mass Communication and Journalism Departments from California State University, Fresno. The Feather has also won awards from scholastic press associations including a Gold Medal from New York’s Columbia University in 2006, 2008 and 2009. The Feather Online also won Columbia’s most prestigious award, a crown, in 2009.
The Feather is also a daily newspaper and can be found on the web at: www.thefeather.com. Currently the online paper receives an average of 12,000-13,000 page views per week and between 2,000 and 2,700 visits per week. According to www.Yahoo.com, The Feather Online is the nation’s 5th most popular high school newspaper.
I appreciate your time and support for the Fresno Christian High student newspaper. Your advertising dollars represent over 90% of our publishing costs.
With thanks,
Greg Stobbe,
Feather adviser

It was awesome working alongside Lynne from Peoples Church in the blood drive. In working together, the Central California Blood Bank collected 75 pints of blood in honor of Max Hinton. Our prayers are for his complete recovery! Thanks again for everyone who supported the drive.
