Dear Editor:
During Easter vacation, people are involved in a variety of activities. There are opportunities to serve and a time to relax from school.
I spent my break doing a number of different things. For most of the week I spent time with friends. We watched movies, went shopping and played Ultimate Frisbee. It was nice not having to think about school and homework.
I also got to spend time with my church high school group. There was a ?Clash and Bowl? night in which everyone dressed in crazy mismatched clothes and went to Clovis Rodeo Lanes.
Another day, a couple of high schoolers and staff members went to our church and pulled weeds along the back fences of the property. It was such a neat time to fellowship with other believers while we served our church family. Towards the end of the week, I went to the Rock and Worship Roadshow at the Save Mart Center. The worship was amazing and seeing so many people come together filled my heart with joy.
I finished off my week with the Good Friday service at church and Easter on Sunday. Celebrating the resurrection of Jesus was a time to reflect on what he did for the world. It made me remember how much he loves and cares for us. Our God is so selfless and forgiving that he thought of our sins and chose to wipe them away with His blood.
After the Easter service, I went home and had lunch with my family. It was nice having my grandparents, sister, and parents all eating together because we got to spend special time with each other.
Easter vacation was one of the best breaks I have had this year. I loved it so much because it was mixed with spending time with friends and family, as well as serving God.

I liked the Red Bucket food drive. This was my first year participating in it and it gave me a good feeling to know that the boxed food that my team collected will make a difference for a needy family this Thanksgiving. Oh and…yeah seniors! We won!
