FC SCRIMMAGES LIBERTY–Sept. 8
To open up FC’s 2011 season, they traveled to the home of the Liberty Hawks for their first scrimmage, Sept. 8. Liberty won the first and third matches, 25-19, 25-18, but FC answered back in the second and fourth, winning 25-18 and 25-21. Forced into a fifth match, FC fell short, losing 18-16, and ultimately losing the game 3-2.
Second year varsity senior and the team’s outside hitter, Katelyn Miller, says regardless of the loss, she is still proud of her team.
“I was really happy with the way we played today,” Miller said.” I was not that confident going into the game but we played the best we could. Losing really stung because we could’ve had it, but i could not be happier with the way our first scrimage turned out.”
Junior Logan Rood says that although she was nervous for the first scrimmage, she had fun playing as a team. She also believes that there are some areas the team needs to improve upon.
“I was really excited and nervous for our first scrimmage,” Rood said. ” It was really fun and we worked well as a team. Im proud of how well we did. We need to improve though by “bettering the ball” which pretty much means playing smart and if we make a mistake we need to shake it off and focus on the next play. ”
The Eagles will next travel to play Sierra, Sept. 14.

Absolute, terrible misery.

Finals are stressful; I wish teachers would make them more relaxed and less worrysome.
