Dear editor:
I am had no idea the journalism class had visited The Fresno Bee until I read the article, “Journalism explores Fresno Bee” in the September paper. This article was great opportunity for me to see how exciting it is in journalism.
This opportunity was unique because, despite the size of our small Christian school, students were able to see a large-scale newspaper operation and learn first-hand how the daily news is reported.
This was a very good idea and I was impressed to learn that our school took this fieldtrip. I learned that The Fresno Bee staff was available for an extended period of time and it appeared that the students had ample time to ask questions. It appeared students were able to learn a lot about journalism from a career standpoint.
Adviser Greg Stobbe really had his act together when he planned this fieldtrip.
