Music department benefits charity in performance (VIDEO)

All of FCS’s choral groups came together to present a concert on Oct. 26. The music department partnered with Fresno Rescue Mission in this benefit concert. The theme, Hopelessly Hopeful was also set to further motivate the audience’s participation in donating food or clothing items.

The concert took place at Riverpark Bible Church on the corner of Millbrook and Alluvial. High school music department director Michael Ogdon and drama director Susan Ainley coordinated a production that included the elementary choir, junior high choir, high school choir and high school drama class.

Featured in the video are the songs, “I Will Lift Up Mine Eyes,” by Nicholas McKaig and “Itch bitte dich,” composed by J.S. Bach.

The ensemble and jazz bands will also be performing Nov. 7. A fundraiser for the music department, they will be auctioning off different desserts to the audience. The concert will take place at FC in the Ground Zero. Due to a conflict with the girl’s volleyball CIF Central Section Division V game, the concert will begin at 8 p.m.
