On the last day of the semester, with finals finished and Christmas parties planned, The Feather staff wandered the halls asking their peers for their Christmas wish list. Videographer Juan Ruelas gave a few of his peers the chance to hint at their 2011 wish list. Parents are you listening?
Those who did not get to express their voice can still add theirs to the Celebrate the season: Join the discussion, 2011 article.
Over the last month though, campus students have been busy showing support for others in a number of activities, including this week’s Round the Table Carol Sing, homemade blankets for local charities and next week’s Angel Tree Christmas party.
Since Dec. 1 the all-school ‘Together We CAN’ food drive collected about 200 meals for Pinedale residents and The Feather staff raised over $250 for the Evangel Home through the sales of candy grams.
So while teenagers still have “the I wants this holiday season,” hopefully many will have and continue to practice serving and giving as well.
Finally, the editorial staff wants to encourage readers and viewers to post their comments on articles, photos, podcasts and videos during the Christmas break. It is through its readers that The Feather can react to critique, praise and comments to better serve the community. This can be done by scrolling to the bottom of each media or article and posting your opinion.
See you all on Jan. 9, 2012.
