Dear editor:
Tests are an important factor in high school, especially the frightening SAT and ACT tests which, depending on scores, can either lead a person to a superlative school or a mediocre school.
In Viviana Hinojosa’s November 9, 2011, article, “PLAN prepares students for academic, vocational future,” preparatory exams are shown to be beneficial to the knowledge of future test takers.
By taking the practice standardized tests, students become more familiar with the material that will be featured on the official standardized tests. By taking the test, I am able to recognize my strengths and weaknesses, this information helps me learn what skills I need to improve.
I like the quote by campus academic adviser Molly Sargent. “Every time you take a practice standardized test the better you get at it. The more prepared you are, the more you know what to expect.”
What could be expanded on in the article are the scores of students who have taken it verses not taken the test.

I was curious to know if the boys knew what the runners up for queen were going to do with their hair. Nice picture.
