The 38th episode of “FC Underground,” covers the week of Jan. 9-13, 2012. “FC Underground” is a weekly segment hosted by Brooke Stobbe, ’12, Kristen Rosenthal, ’13, and produced by Austin Rurik, ’12.
Before Stobbe reviewed this week’s announcements, Rosenthal interviewed a few students to find out what they did during the Christmas break.
This week golf players will meet for their first informational meeting on Thursday with coach Jeff Hopper. Spanish Club is meeting Friday at lunch with members of the Mennonite Central Committee to pack school kits for Latin American school kids.
The varsity softball team begins mandatory practice on Monday. For those who have not turned in their sports physical forms are also required to do so this week. The soccer and basketball teams are also in action this week so check the Winter box scores article for dates and times.
Finally, next Monday is Martin Luther King, Jr., day holiday so take a load off and sleep in, preparing for the academic rigors sure to come.

The segments consist of news, interviews, profiles and comments on campus life. Each episode is between two and three minutes in length.
“FC Underground” first ran in the fall of 1997 and continued until the spring of 2001. In the fall of 2009, editor-in-chief Suzanna Quiring, ’10, resumed the series, which was then produced by Paige Powell, ’10. After Quiring and Powell graduated, Stobbe and Casuga took up the job until this year.
