After winning two of their last three games, the girls basketball team will open their West Sequoia League season with home games against Riverdale on Jan. 17, and Fowler, Jan. 27.

Students can also follow the team for their next two road games as well: the Eagles play at Tranquillity, Jan. 20, and travel to Caruthers, Jan. 24.

While the team lost their last game against Sierra High, the girls beat Bakersfield Christian and Tranquillity. FC is led by seniors Nicole Hensley and Brandi Thompson and coached by Santino Reynolds.

This season has proved to be a rebuilding year for the Lady Eagles as long-time coach Josh Tosland resigned and the players that won the Valley Championship and Division V titles all graduated.
