The 39th episode of “FC Underground,” covers the week of Jan. 17-20, 2012. “FC Underground” is a weekly segment hosted by Kristen Rosenthal, ’13, and Callista Fries, ’15, and produced by Austin Rurik, ’12.
Classes resume after the Martin Luther King, Jr., holiday and Rosenthal introduces the newest member of the FC Underground team, Callista Fries. With Brother to Brother and Sister2Sister meeting Monday for training at lunch Rosenthal also reminds students to make their $10 parking pass payments before privileges are taken away.
The sports teams are in action this week as well with all four teams hosting Riverdale. The girls basketball and boys basketball teams will play the Cowboys on Jan. 17 at 6 and 7:30 p.m. The boys soccer team will host Riverdale, Jan. 17 at 3 p.m. while the girls soccer team play their home opener, Jan. 18 at 3 p.m.

The segments consist of news, interviews, profiles and comments on campus life. Each episode is between two and three minutes in length.
“FC Underground” first ran in the fall of 1997 and continued until the spring of 2001. In the fall of 2009, editor-in-chief Suzanna Quiring, ’10, resumed the series, which was then produced by Paige Powell, ’10. After Quiring and Powell graduated, Stobbe and Casuga took up the job until this year.
