After beating Tranquillity, 2-1, on the road, Jan. 20, and losing, 3-0, to Caruthers, Jan. 24, FC returned to Eagle field to face Fowler on Jan. 26.

While the Eagles only have two seniors on the team, Brooke Stobbe and GeeHyun Park, the team often is led by their freshmen.

Mackenzie Devereaux leads the team with 4 goals and 15 shots while Stobbe has 3 goals and 11 shots.

The girls soccer team is 2-3 in the West Sequoia League and 6-10 overall before the take on the Red Cats. During the 2010-11 season, the Eagles did not win a game and have shown improvement this year under coach Tony Martinez.

The last home game of January will be against Parlier, Jan. 30 and will open February at Riverdale, Feb. 3.
