The 43rd episode of “FC Underground,” covers the week of Feb. 14-Feb. 18, 2012. “FC Underground” is a weekly segment hosted by Brooke Stobbe, ’12, and produced by Austin Rurik, ’12.
Stobbe and Rurik are joined by freshman Callista Fries who continues to learn the ropes of hosting FC Underground’s campus news.
The boys and girls basketball teams will complete their WSL seasons on the road against Fowler on Tuesday and Parlier on Friday.
The girls soccer team will play at Firebaugh on Wednesday in its first playoff game since 2008. There is also a half day scheduled for Wednesday as well for teachers to continue to prepare for accreditation.
Senior parents are encouraged to attend a meeting to review grad night celebrations in Room 621 from 7-9 p.m.
The California Scholastic Federation (CSF) will meet on Friday to assign tutors and go over rules for off-campus lunch. Senior Brady Lee is the FC nomination for Seymour Memorial Award for the CSF conference in April.
Finally, Night of the Stars (NOTS), FC’s winter formal, is Saturday in downtown Fresno at The Grand 1401. Milne Studio will again provide photos during the evening, starting at 5 p.m.
Campus will also enjoy its second three-day weekend to celebrate Washington’s birthday.

The segments consist of news, interviews, profiles and comments on campus life. Each episode is between two and three minutes in length.
“FC Underground” first ran in the fall of 1997 and continued until the spring of 2001. In the fall of 2009, editor-in-chief Suzanna Quiring, ’10, resumed the series, which was then produced by Paige Powell, ’10. After Quiring and Powell graduated, Stobbe and Casuga took up the job until this year.
