FC throws its 18th annual winter formal, Night of the Stars (NOTS) at the The Grand 1401 on the 10th story in downtown Fresno, Feb. 18, 2012. This year’s NOTS theme, “A Night in Paris,” complimented the classy light posts, table decorations and music that surrounded the room; everything was kind of old-fashioned and prestigious as the 162 students dined in the 1920s ballroom.
Student leadership hosted the event, which showcased all four class movies during the catered dinner and dessert. The top student actors, directors, editors and filmmakers were all honored with FC Academy Awards as well.
The juniors’ representation of How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days won the Best Picture, the Parent’s Choice, Best Editing, Best DIrector and Best Actor and Actress. The movie starred Jenna Orcutt as Andie Anderson and Brandon Porter as Benjamin Berry. The junior movie was filmed by Matt Adams and Rachel Quiring. Quiring also edited the movie.
“The goal [for our film] was to be professional,” Quiring said. “We had a very organized script and planned things like locations ahead of time to avoid last-minute chaos. The scheduling came back to haunt us a few times when, at the last minute, someone couldn’t come and there was no other time we could do it.”

We still have pictures of the Pilgrim’s Thanksgiving from kindergarten. Like Jon said, it does bring back memories.
