With their 73-34 win over Tranquillity, Feb. 28, in the semi-finals of the Division V playoffs, the No. 1 Eagles will return to Selland Arena in hopes of repeating as the Valley Champions against the No. 2 Laton Mustangs.
FC won the West Sequoia League (WSL) going 7-1 and are sporting a 23-2 overall record. They will face Laton, March 2 at 4 p.m. Ticket for the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Central Section playoff game are sold in the high school office and at the arena: $12 for adults and $9 students with ID.
Laton defeated Riverdale Christian, 68-44, in the other semi-finals. Last year the Eagles defeated Tranquillity in the 2011 finals at Selland and beat Laton in the Mustang Holiday Invitational, Dec. 30, 2011.
WSL 2012 Coach of the Year Josh Justin views the game against Laton as a good test for the experienced Eagle team.
“Friday’s game against Laton should be a tough game,” Justin said. “Laton is playing very well right now and I know they will come ready to play. It should be a fun and exciting experience for our team to play at Selland. I am confident that our experience and defensive intensity should help us to have a great chance to win on Friday night.”
No passes will be honored for the Valley Championship game as all fans and supporters will need tickets for the game.

ASL is always a blast! It’s fun learning to sign songs and other things, but the tough part is remembering it all. Overall, ASL is just a time to have fun, and it doesn’t matter if you embarrass yourself (:

I thought that meeting was awesome. Although I found a few signs very difficult in Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. I really liked Jingle Bells though. I’m going to try practicing that song and if I get good at it then i might sign up for the volunteering thing we were having.

I had such a great time in ASL meeting yesterday. Although it was a little hard at first, Mr. Ogden and Mrs. Casuga helped us through.

This is the sign for Rudolph’s nose blinking and guiding the sleigh. It was a really fun time – hope the kids had as much fun as I did!
