The 46th episode of “FC Underground,” covers the week of March 5-9, 2012. “FC Underground” is a weekly segment hosted by Brooke Stobbe, ’12, Callista Fries, ’15, and produced by Austin Rurik, ’12.
Stobbe and Fries begin March with senior Ryan Neufeld who earned MVP honors as the Eagles defeated Laton for the CIF Central Section Division V Valley championship last week. The boys will next host a State playoff game, March 7 at 7 p.m.
However, the week gets started with a Christian concert on Monday: Esterlyn and A Current Affair in Ground Zero, at 6 p.m.
Student leadership and The Feather staff are selling Fresno Bee newspaper to support Kids Day and Childrens Hospital Central California, March 6 at 4:30-8 a.m. Later at lunch, Brother-to-Brother training is scheduled.
Music director Michael Ogdon is taking his choirs to Pasadena to the ACSI Choir Festival, March 7-10.
Finally, The Feather Online staff is headed to New York City to compete in Columbia Scholastic Press Association’s journalism conference, March 14-16. The staff will compete for a Gold Crown at Columbia University; their highest honor to high school students.

The segments consist of news, interviews, profiles and comments on campus life. Each episode is between two and three minutes in length.
“FC Underground” first ran in the fall of 1997 and continued until the spring of 2001. In the fall of 2009, editor-in-chief Suzanna Quiring, ’10, resumed the series, which was then produced by Paige Powell, ’10. After Quiring and Powell graduated, Stobbe and Casuga took up the job until this year.
