The 54th episode of “FC Underground,” covers the week of May 7-May 11, 2012. “FC Underground” is a weekly segment hosted by Brooke Stobbe, ’12, Callista Fries, ’15, and produced by Austin Rurik, ’12.

Spanish Club officers meet, Monday, May 7, to plan the Spanish Club Fiesta for Friday, May 11. The Fiesta is just for Spanish Club members.

The golf team play in the biggest golf tournament of the season at Riverside Golf and Country Club, May 7. Seniors Tyler Zaentz and Jeff Roseth lead the team. They are trying to win their 4th Valley championship in a row.

The Library Media Center (Library) is requesting that all books, CSs, tapes, fees, etc. be returned by May 11. A fine of $30 will be added to student accounts for those items not returned. Students will not be able to take their finals will a fee owed or book still out.

In their final “Home” Concert, the Choral Music Department will showcase the Celebration Choir and Adoration Ensemble in Ground Zero, May 8 at 7:30 p.m.

Sports physicals will be given, May 8, from 6-7 p.m. in Rooms 602 and 604. The cost is $25.00 for a physical. Checks may be payable to Dr. Gonzalez.

The baseball team will travel to Fowler to take on the Redcats in a West Sequoia League match-up, May 8, at 3:30 p.m. The Eagles will then travel to Parlier to play the Panthers, May 11.

The tennis team continues their post season team play, traveling to Dos Palos Mustangs, Wednesday, May 9 at 3:30. Tennis won the individuals W.S.L. tournament by defeating Caruthers, May 6. Senior Brady Lee is the No. 1 seed.

Those seniors who want to have their photo taken promoting their college/university choice, be sure to wear your University shirt, hat or sweatshirt for a group photo, May 9, at lunch in Room 621.

The segments consist of news, interviews, profiles and comments on campus life. Each episode is between two and three minutes in length.

“FC Underground” first ran in the fall of 1997 and continued until the spring of 2001. In the fall of 2009, editor-in-chief Suzanna Quiring, ’10, resumed the series, which was then produced by Paige Powell, ’10. After Quiring and Powell graduated, Stobbe and Casuga took up the job until this year.
