FC Underground, Ep. 52 (VIDEO)

The 52nd episode of “FC Underground,” covers the week of April 23-28, 2012. “FC Underground” is a weekly segment hosted by Brooke Stobbe, ’12, Callista Fries, ’15, and produced by Austin Rurik, ’12.

Brother to Brother program is having an off-campus lunch on Monday.

Seniors who are currently taking an online class are required to complete it by April 30–no exceptions. This means even those who are taking French and have not completed their lessons. Finals in the classes also need to be taken by that date.

CSF continues to provide free tutoring every Wednesday after school from 3:15-4:15 p.m.

All parents of graduating seniors are meeting to discuss and continue to make preparations for Grad Night (May 24) on Thursday beginning at 7 p.m. They will be meeting in Molly Sargent’s room, 621.

The Spanish Club is meeting on Friday at lunch to continuing planning the Cino de Mayo festival. All members need to wear their shirts.

Finally, all CSF members will be participating in a service/work day at the Fresno Rescue Mission on Saturday, April 28. Be sure to wear clothes that allows freedom of movement as students will be cleaning, painting and other tasks from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Students also must have their parents and/or guardians sign a permission slip before they can participate.

The segments consist of news, interviews, profiles and comments on campus life. Each episode is between two and three minutes in length.

“FC Underground” first ran in the fall of 1997 and continued until the spring of 2001. In the fall of 2009, editor-in-chief Suzanna Quiring, ’10, resumed the series, which was then produced by Paige Powell, ’10. After Quiring and Powell graduated, Stobbe and Casuga took up the job until this year.
