The 53rd episode of “FC Underground,” covers the week of April 30-May 4, 2012. “FC Underground” is a weekly segment hosted by Brooke Stobbe, ’12, Callista Fries, ’15, and produced by Austin Rurik, ’12.
*While Brooke says this is the week of May 30, she actually means April 30.
There are three baseball games this week: the varsity team is playing a double-header against Tranquillity on May 1 and Caruthers, May 3. The Caruthers game is senior night.
All seniors are required to finish their online classes by May 1. If there is an issue, they must discuss it with Michele Warkentin.
The tennis team will host Dos Palos, May 1, and a make-up match against Firebaugh, May 3.
For teachers to finish up accreditation activities, the campus will have one last half day schedule, May 2. Dismissal is at noon.
The entire FCS will meet for the first annual end of year convocation to honor the National Day of Prayer and celebrate the blessings of God and the end of spring semester, May 3, at 7:55 a.m. in the Peoples Church Sanctuary.
While Cinco de Mayo is May 1, the CSF will provide a Quatro de Mayo lunch of enchiladas, nachos, a dessert and lemonade for $6, May 4. Spanish Club is also sponsoring a mariachi band.
The choir will be singing at Trinity Presbyterian Church for Sunday morning services, May 6.

The segments consist of news, interviews, profiles and comments on campus life. Each episode is between two and three minutes in length.
“FC Underground” first ran in the fall of 1997 and continued until the spring of 2001. In the fall of 2009, editor-in-chief Suzanna Quiring, ’10, resumed the series, which was then produced by Paige Powell, ’10. After Quiring and Powell graduated, Stobbe and Casuga took up the job until this year.
