The second episode of “FC Underground, 2012-13” covers the week of Aug. 13-17, 2012. This is sophomore Callista Fries’ first year hosting the show alone. FC Underground is a weekly segment hosted by Fries and is produced by senior Juan Ruelas.

Back to School Night will be held on Monday, Aug. 20. Parents are to meet in the FC gym at 7 p.m. before heading to their child’s classes.

All new students in grades 9-12 are invited to attend the new student luncheon in Room 608, Aug. 23. Lunch and entertainment will be provided by the Student Leadership.

For high school students, picture day will be on Thursday, Aug. 23. Milne Photography will be providing services for yearbook and student IDs.

Junior and senior girls are encouraged to sign up to be involved in the Sister to Sister program to mentor junior high girls.

The segments consist of news, interviews, profiles and comments on campus life. Each episode is between two and three minutes in length.

“FC Underground” first ran in the fall of 1997 and continued until the spring of 2001. In the fall of 2009, editor-in-chief Suzanna Quiring, ’10, resumed the series, which was then produced by Paige Powell, ’10. After Quiring and Powell graduated, Brooke Stobbe and David Casuga took up the job until the end the 2011-’12 school year. Now, Fries and Ruelas have continued the segments.
