FC Underground, 2012-13, No. 9 (VIDEO)

The ninth episode of “FC Underground, 2012-13” covers the week of Oct. 8-12, 2012. This is sophomore Callista Fries’ first year hosting the show alone. FC Underground is a weekly segment hosted by Fries and is produced by senior Juan Ruelas.

There will be a mandatory Book Buddy meeting on Mon. Oct. 8 at lunch in room 604.

HS girls soccer conditioning starts Mon. Oct. 8 from 3:30-5 p.m.

On Tuesday, Oct. 9, a bunch of Sharon Scharf’s art students will be headed to the Big Fresno Fair to compete in the annual chalk drawing competition from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Also students might check out the Junior Exhibit Building for campus art student have entered varying competition. It is rumored that senior Katie Barisic has won a first place ribbon and her feather scratchboard will be housed at the local Allard’s Art Supply shop. More on that as information and confirmation comes in.

CSF Tutoring Is every Wed. from 3-4 p.m.

Thurs. Oct. 11 there is a HS girls volleyball game at Minarets HS starting at 4:30 p.m.

The end of the quarter is Fri. Oct. 12.

There is a Spanish Club meeting this Fri. Oct. 12 at lunch in room 603.

The segments consist of news, interviews, profiles and comments on campus life. Each episode is between two and three minutes in length.

“FC Underground” first ran in the fall of 1997 and continued until the spring of 2001. In the fall of 2009, editor-in-chief Suzanna Quiring, ’10, resumed the series, which was then produced by Paige Powell, ’10. After Quiring and Powell graduated, Brooke Stobbe and David Casuga took up the job until the end the 2011-’12 school year. Now, Fries and Ruelas have continued the segments.
