The fourth episode of “FC Underground, 2012-13” covers the week of Sept. 4-7, 2012. This is sophomore Callista Fries’ first year hosting the show alone. FC Underground is a weekly segment hosted by Fries and is produced by senior Nathan Bender.
Sister to sister training will begin Tues., Sept. 4, at lunch in room 628. Bring your lunch and be prompt.
Any students who missed Picture Day, retakes will be Wed., Sept. 5. Meet in front of the HS office to be taken over to Milne.
If any students have unsold VIP cards the dead line to turn them in will be Wed., Sept. 5.
HS girls volleyball game will be this Thurs., Sept. 6, in the FC gym, starting at 5:30 p.m.
The Eagles the will travel once again to Riverdale for the third game of the season. The game will begin at 7 p.m., Fri., Sept. 7.
Hey! Don’t forget to check out the Madera Fair, Sept. 6-9. It’s only a 25-min. drive north of school on Highway 99.

The segments consist of news, interviews, profiles and comments on campus life. Each episode is between two and three minutes in length.
“FC Underground” first ran in the fall of 1997 and continued until the spring of 2001. In the fall of 2009, editor-in-chief Suzanna Quiring, ’10, resumed the series, which was then produced by Paige Powell, ’10. After Quiring and Powell graduated, Brooke Stobbe and David Casuga took up the job until the end the 2011-’12 school year. Now, Fries and Bender have continued the segments.

Even though it was awkward in the begining, I think it was a great idea! I was fun meeting new people.
PS: They were very tall for 8th graders!

This was a good idea. it was a lot of fun to have an 8th grader shadow me. I think that he learned a lot from the experience and is going to enjoy high school.
