The eighth episode of “FC Underground, 2012-13” covers the week of Oct. 1-5, 2012. This is sophomore Callista Fries’ first year hosting the show alone. FC Underground is a weekly segment hosted by Fries and is produced by senior Juan Ruelas.

The tickets for the Beach trip, on Oct. 19, are on sale in the HS office for $45.

Oct. 1 is the last day for the Juniors and Seniors to turn in their money for the Cal Poly Trip. If you do not turn in your money before 3:30 p.m. you will loose your spot.

There is a Champions for Today chapel this Thurs. Oct. 4, it starts at 9:45 a.m..

HS boys soccer meeting this Tues. Oct. 2, at lunch in room 627.

Wed. Oct. 3 there is a HS girls soccer meeting in room 627 at lunch.

There is a Brother to Brother off campus lunch on Mon. Oct. 1.

If you would like to be a part of Book Buddies, you have until Fri. Oct. 5 to sign up.

There will be CSF tutoring every Wed. after school from 3-4 p.m..

College information night will be on Oct. 1 in the JJ room from 6:30-8 p.m.. Mrs. Warkentin will be giving information on applying for college, scholarships and more.

There will be a CSF meeting this Fri. Oct. 5 in room 621.

This Wed. the band will be playing in the parade at the Big Fresno Fair.

The Fresno fair begins this Wed. Oct. 3, admission of will be $1 for this day only.

There is a HS football game this Fri. Oct. 5 starting at 7 p.m., at Woodland Poly High School.

HS volleyball game this Tues. Oct. 2, in the FC gym against Parlier High School, the game begins at 5:30 p.m..

The segments consist of news, interviews, profiles and comments on campus life. Each episode is between two and three minutes in length.

“FC Underground” first ran in the fall of 1997 and continued until the spring of 2001. In the fall of 2009, editor-in-chief Suzanna Quiring, ’10, resumed the series, which was then produced by Paige Powell, ’10. After Quiring and Powell graduated, Brooke Stobbe and David Casuga took up the job until the end the 2011-’12 school year. Now, Fries and Ruelas have continued the segments.
