Goin Pro Ep. 6 (PODCAST)

Every day something new happens in the world of sports. A game is played, a practice is run, a transaction is completed, etc. Whether pro, college, or high school sports, there is always something going on.

Sophomore Christopher Grossman and rookie teacher Eric Witters have joined forces to bring the patrons of The Feather Online a new podcast about all things sports dubbed “Goin’ Pro”. The duo analyzes the ongoings of things in the sports world and then regurgitates them with their own opinions in an up-beat, conversational style.

This week’s podcast covers topics such as recent action in the NBA, MLB NFL, and NCAA.

The duo opens with the Los Angeles Lakers and their new coach: Mike D’Antoni and how he will fit in with the team’s new roster. They discuss how the Lakers can turn around their losing season.

The two continue with pro baseball, discussing the announcement of the National League MVP and they predict the winner of the American League MVP. Grossman sides with Triple Crown winner Miguel Cabrera while Witters picks rookie star Mike Trout. They also talk about the moves made by the Miami Marlins and how it will effect their franchise.

The two end with football – both NFL and college. They discuss the controversy surrounding Michael Vick and other underperforming quarterbacks around the league before arguing over which NCAA team deserves to be ranked number 1.

PODCAST: Teacher and student join forces to talk sports: Nov. 16 , 2012–
