TRACK AND FIELD 2013

REDCAT RELAY INVITATIONAL–MARCH 2

The track team participated in the Redcat Relay Invitational at Fowler High School March 2. The meet lasted from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. There were 17 schools that participated in this event, including FC.

In the women’s varsity 100 meter sprint, Emmaline, ’16, finished second in her heat and 11th overall, her time was 14.55.

In the varsity boys100 meter sprint, JP Caprioglio, ’13, finished third in his heat and 12th overall, his time was 12.55.

Track coach Myster Holliman did not know what to expect from the track team but enjoyed warming up with the 4×4 relay team. Holliman appreciated the effort put forth from his team, especially Caprioglio.

“I didn’t know what to expect from the track team going into the meet,” Holliman said. “The most exciting part of the track team was warming up with the 4×4 relay team. Seeing the intensity that Jon Agao and JP brought especially after the loss that JP had, was great. It was very energizing watching him put that into the race.”

In the varsity boys 4×400 meter relay FC finished fourth in their heat and fourth overall. The relay team was consisting of JP Caprioglio, Caleb Goodale, ’16, Jon Agao, ’14 and Jonathan Anguiano, ’16; their time was 3:55.26.

Overall FC came in 13th out of 15 teams for varsity men’s.
